Hi,

I am going to introduce you about procrastination and its treatment. Procrastination is the process in which you delay and postpone your activities. At any point in your life, you felt that you are going to act like a procrastinator and you played that role very well. There were various reasons behind your such type of behavior; laziness or fear of failure etc. I am sure you might feel as a procrastinator because of these reasons and get anxious about this idle activity. But don’t worry as this is not only you who has faced such situations. There are number of people having such psychological barriers and I am also among those people.

Trust me you can beat the procrastination if you follow the steps, I am sharing with you. These are very simple and somehow easy to follow. The technique I am going to acknowledge you is known as Pomodoro. This is the time management method. Should I reveal the steps of Pomodoro if you are ready to hear? So, there are only four steps to effectively use your time.

  1. You must decide about a particular task (e.g.; Study)
  2. Set a Pomodoro timer to 25 minutes
  3. Keep working on the task until the alarm rings.
  4. Note down the distractions pops into your head while working

I am going to implement this technique on myself. If I am not wrong, you are also thinking of applying this method to utilize your time effectively. So, let’s have a try to kill the idleness. I am going to study my Fluid Mechanics notes and setting a Pomodoro timer of 25 minutes. (Silence)

Ratta Mar :P

How was your experience? I guess your experience was quite amazing and interesting! My experience was also wonderful as I enjoyed reading the notes setting an alarm. But there were few issues you also have faced during the whole process. The distractions coming to my mind were thoughts, mobile phone and food. I started thinking that these notes will get completed and I remember the information forever leading to highest score in test and will get a reputable position in job market.

This experience was good overall as it helped me to complete my task even after having distractions. I am thinking of applying this strategy throughout my life on a regular basis. The improvements will be mandatory in order to utilize my time effectively. I must reduce distractions and the ways I will use to put my mobile phone on silent mode. Wish me good luck!
